![]() I'm crazy about tea!!! I enjoy straight tea, that is, from tea leaves, but also the varieties with extra flavor like nuts, chocolate, etc. I recently mixed some gunpowder green tea leaves with rose petals tea from the aforementioned site and it turned out fantastic! If you like to mix and match, green tea often pairs nicely with herbal teas. Normally I drink mine with some honey, but since cutting back on sugar, I use a Splenda packet. I usually nuke some water in a cup until it boils, then let it sit for about 45 seconds to 1 minute, then I steep the leaves for 4 minutes. It's kinda delicate and will result in bitter tea in a big hurry if steeped too long or in water that's too hot. Also, especially don't steep green tea for too long and don't use water that's too hot. Use more leaves! Steeping too long results in bitter tea. As a side note, if you go the route of loose leaf tea, do not steep it longer if you want a stronger flavor. I personally like my tea nice and strong, so I use 2-3 times the suggested amount of tea leaves. The Tea Spot is where I currently shop for my tea and they have a pretty big selection of black, white, green, red, oolong and herbal teas, plus they give you a free random tea sample with each order. A friend introduced me and I never went back to crappy Lipton tea bags. I can't sing the praises of loose leaf tea enough. In the meantime I'm happy to answer any questions I can! My hope here is to introduce some people to tea! If anyone wants to add & discuss their favorite teas please do! I am by no means an expert. ![]() And while there are teas out there marketed for appetite suppressant I strongly believe any tea can satisfy away cravings if you make it to your liking. You can drink it without anything added if you so please. Ultimately what you do with tea is up to you. I usually only drink hot tea but in the summer time I have been known to whip up a big pot of green tea, cool it down, & put it in a pitcher with ice & a little honey & stick it in the fridge. Tea can be prepared to be hot or cold as well. Either a peach tea with soy milk & honey or a green tea & a couple chocolate tea biscuits on the side are my absolute favorites. It almost always helps with sugar cravings. One of my favorites is hot milk tea with a little honey. The best part about tea, in my opinion, is just how many options for preparation & flavor there are. If someone wants to offer their knowledge on this I'd be happy to add it. White Teas: I'd have to be honest here I have little exposure to this type of tea but it's common to see white jasmine. Herbal Teas: these teas usually don't have any caffeine & are teas like chamomile, mint, & rosehip. Green tea can be found in caffeine free varieties but there is naturally some caffeine in green tea. Green Teas: these teas are usually mixed with fruit or stand alone as higher quality traditional teas. For people unfamiliar with tea there are a few types to be aware of īlack Teas: these include popular teas like Earl Grey & english breakfast tea. It is by no means the magic key to weight loss but it has aided in my cravings & desires to binge many many times. In my year & nine months on this journey I've learned just how versatile & useful tea can be in losing weight & I want to share this with the community that helped me come this far.
